Job Description
Thumbtack is seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager to lead their Data Privacy & Compliance program. This role involves strategic and operational initiatives impacting internal and external users. The Technical Program Manager will partner with various teams to ensure data privacy and compliance across the company.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Privacy Counsel and business leaders to develop a data privacy program strategy.
- Collaborate with teams to implement scalable tools and processes for data privacy.
- Establish company-wide awareness and adoption of data privacy principles.
- Keep stakeholders informed and aligned on relevant details.
- Evaluate and improve privacy processes in products, platforms, and tools.
- Stay up-to-date on privacy requirements and emerging technologies.
- Contribute to related GRC technical initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience running large cross-functional data privacy programs.
- Proficient understanding of data systems, software development, and privacy risks.
- Expert in U.S. state privacy laws including CCPA/CPRA, CPA, VCDPA, UCPA, BIPA.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Expert in agile project management and the software project lifecycle.
- Ability to think strategically and be hands-on.
