Job Description
Rocket Lab is seeking a Mechanical Technician I/II to join their team in Wallops Island, VA. This role is crucial for building Neutron facilities and supporting the test and first launch campaign of the Neutron launch vehicle. The Mechanical Technician will be part of a team responsible for the build, integration, test, operation, and maintenance of the Neutron launch vehicle and ground system assets.

Role involves: - Fabricating mechanical subsystems on test and launch sites.
- Supporting daily activities for technicians.
- Contributing to workflow and best practices.
- Ensuring tasks are completed on time and to quality standards.
- Integrating, assembling, and installing launch pad systems.
- Troubleshooting mechanical issues.
Requirements for Mechanical Technician I: - High School diploma or GED.
- Experience in manufacturing and assembly of launch pad fluid systems.
- Fabrication skills (tube bending, welding, etc.).
- Maintenance skills (troubleshooting, cleaning, etc.).
- Experience with equipment like forklifts and power tools.
Requirements for Mechanical Technician II: - 5+ years of relevant industry experience
- High School diploma or GED.
- Experience in manufacturing and assembly of launch pad fluid systems.
- Fabrication skills (tube bending, welding, etc.).
- Maintenance skills (troubleshooting, cleaning, etc.).
- Experience with equipment like forklifts and power tools.
