Operator III/IV, Production

Job Description

Rocket Lab is seeking a highly motivated Operator III/IV, Production to join their team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role involves working in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment, contributing to the production of high-efficiency solar cells, solar panels, and composite structural products for satellite and aerospace applications. The Operator will perform various functions in the production of semiconductor devices, assembly, and testing of production units.About the Company:Rocket Lab is a global leader in launch and space systems, responsible for building and launching rockets and satellites that enable vital space missions. Their Space Systems team focuses on creating satellites and satellite components for missions across commercial, government, and defense sectors.Role Involves:

• Performing functions in the production of semiconductor devices.
• Setting up and preparing work stations/assembly fixtures.
• Reading and comprehending basic drawings and schematics.
• Identifying failure discrepancies per visual and/or written descriptions.
• Utilizing visual aides such as microscopes, visors, and eye loops.
• Utilizing computer hardware and software, including MS Office.
• Collecting and recording data.
• Reading and comprehending instructions, short correspondences, and memos.
• Working with various kinds of test equipment.
• Operating UV curing systems and thermal curing ovens (depending on the team/shift).
• Measuring and pouring chemicals (depending on the team/shift).

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• For Operator III: 5+ years of work experience in a production or manufacturing environment, or other highly regulated industry.
• For Operator IV: 8+ years of work experience in a production or manufacturing environment, or other highly regulated industry.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of ESD and cleanroom procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to hear and speak effectively before groups of customers and employees.
• Capable of multitasking and working with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with computing rate, ratio, and percentages; as well as drawing and interpreting bar graphs.
