Rocket Lab is seeking an Operator I/II, Production to join their production team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment, supporting the production of high-efficiency solar cells, solar panels, and composite structural products for satellite and aerospace applications.

Rocket Lab is a leading provider of space systems and is the world’s only vertically integrated, end-to-end supplier of satellite solar arrays. The Operator will perform various functions in the production of semiconductor devices and specific process steps in the assembly and testing of production units.

What this role involves:

  • Performing functions in the production of semiconductor devices.
  • Setting up and preparing work stations/assembly fixtures.
  • Reading and comprehending basic drawings and schematics.
  • Identifying failure discrepancies per visual and/or written descriptions.
  • Utilizing visual aides such as microscopes, visors, and eye loops.
  • Utilizing computer hardware and software, including MS Office.
  • Collecting and recording data.
  • Reading and comprehending instructions, short correspondences, and memos.
  • Working with various kinds of test equipment.
  • Operating UV curing systems and thermal curing ovens (depending on the team/shift).
  • Measuring and pouring chemicals (depending on the team/shift).

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • For Operator II: 2+ years of work experience in a production or manufacturing environment, or other highly regulated industry.
