Job Description
Axon is seeking a CNC Programmer to join their team in Scottsdale, Arizona. This role involves producing machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC mills and lathes, while maintaining quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC programming, machine setup, and quality control procedures.
Role involves:
- Planning machining processes based on work orders and blueprints.
- Programming CNC mills and lathes.
- Setting up mills and lathes with appropriate tools and attachments.
- Verifying settings and maintaining specifications.
- Maintaining equipment and ensuring safe operations.
- Documenting actions and updating job knowledge.
Requirements:
- Experience with 3- and 4-axis CNC mills, manual mills, and CNC and manual lathes.
- Proficiency in interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
- Knowledge of machining parameters and materials specifications.
- Ability to program mills and lathes using instructions and conditional switches.
- Experience with setting up mills and lathes, including installing chucks, tools, and attachments.
- Ability to maintain equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions.
