Sr. Manufacturing Quality Engineer

Job Description

• Participating in the Axon Product Lifecycle (APL) process
• Leading nonconforming material review (NCMR/MRB)
• Driving and managing 8D investigations and root cause analysis (RCA)
• Developing and maintaining FAIRs, PPAP documentation, and AQL sampling plans
• Providing engineering support to Receiving Inspection
• Supporting new product introduction (NPI) through validation, process control, and risk mitigation strategies
• Performing risk assessment and drive risk mitigation
• Implementing and monitoring Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems
• Interfacing with manufacturing, engineering, and design teams
• Participating in internal and supplier audits
• Managing quality-related documentation
• Partnering with supply chain and procurement to ensure supplier quality and performance metrics are met
• Supporting Lean Manufacturing initiatives and contribute to Kaizen events and value stream mapping
• Communicating effectively across departments

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Quality Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in a production/manufacturing quality engineering role.
• Experience with CAPA, RCA/8D, PPAP, FAIR, PFMEA, and validation activities.
• Certified Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt (CSSGB/CSSBB) or equivalent experience in process improvement.
• Strong knowledge of IPC-A-610 and relevant industry standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools and statistical analysis software such as Minitab, JMP, or similar.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, GD&T, and inspection techniques.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and technical report writing skills.
• Strong time management, multitasking, and organizational skills.
