Job Description
Axon is seeking a Weekend Quality Supervisor to oversee the Quality Control department and personnel, ensuring that raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods meet specifications and regulatory requirements. This role involves establishing daily priorities based on production line needs and managing a team of 8-12 inspectors.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of 8-12 inspectors to meet daily inspection workload
- Ensures that QC Inspectors conduct inspections according to approved procedures/specifications, inspection plans
- Audit inspection documentation for compliance and makes the final disposition for the materials
- Schedules and supervises QC Inspectors activities
- Directs and provide training for QC Inspectors
- Collaboration on in process and outgoing quality Inspection Plans
- Manages inventory within our quality control areas
- Ensures computer databases/worksheets are updated and communicated to the appropriate team members, and departments of inspection status
- Establish and achieve weekly/monthly goals
Requirements:
- 5+ years hands on experience as an inspection supervisor in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Associates Degree or higher in a Engineering Discipline or equivalent experience
- 3-5+ years Dimensional Metrology equipment experience
- High degree of knowledge of drawings, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), complex inspection methods, CMM, metrology equipment
- Quality experience in the electronics, plastics, metals, and QMS; ISO, IATF, AS…
- Basic software and computer skills
- Proficiency in MS office, Six Sigma Green Belt
