Job Description
Axon is seeking a Lead Quality Inspector to join their team in Scottsdale, Arizona. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality of materials used in the public safety industry. The Lead Quality Inspector will manage a team of inspectors and conduct tests to evaluate the quality and performance of raw, in-process, and finished goods.

What This Role Involves:
  • Managing the workload for a team of 4-6 inspectors.
  • Conducting routine and non-routine tests and inspections.
  • Reading and interpreting technical data and specifications.
  • Performing push and pull testing using Mark-10 equipment.
  • Conducting non-destructive and destructive testing.
  • Using metrology tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Interpreting test results and making recommendations on product release.
  • Maintaining laboratory testing and measurement equipment.
  • Conducting layered process audits to ensure compliance with Axon 7S standards.
  • Maintaining the QC database.

What Axon is Looking For:
  • Associates Degree or equivalent Experience
  • Basic software and computer skills
  • IPC-A-610 certification (Preferred)
  • Green Belt Certification (Preferred)
  • Experience of ISO standards, inspection standards and quality concepts
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Familiarity with Minitab, JMP; other statistical software considered
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, product specifications, procedures and standards
  • Excellent written, oral communication and technical report writing skills
