Cash Analyst

Job Description

AlphaSense is seeking a Cash Analyst to accurately post daily cash transactions and manage unapplied cash. The role involves ensuring all payments are correctly allocated to customer accounts and requires attention to detail and strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams.Responsibilities include:

• Posting daily cash receipts and payments into the financial system.
• Reconciling daily cash batches.
• Ensuring all bank activity is properly reflected in the system.
• Identifying and investigating unapplied cash items.
• Working with the accounts receivable team to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintaining accurate records of unapplied cash.
• Assisting in the preparation of daily and weekly cash reports.
• Suggesting and implementing improvements to cash posting and unapplied cash management processes.
• Assisting with the development of training materials and procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
• Assisting in the preparation of reports for internal and external audits.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 1-3 years of experience in cash management, accounting, or finance.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficient in Excel and Netsuite preferred.
