Part Time Residential Counselor I/II - Sheridan on 10th - Thur, Fri, AON 8pm-8am

Job Description

WellPower is seeking a Part Time Residential Counselor I/II to join their team at Sheridan on 10th. The counselor will work Thursday and Friday from 8pm to 8am. The Residential Counselor will work with consumers on activities of daily living, facilitate group therapy, manage intakes/discharges, monitor medications, create a safe environment, coordinate treatment, and advocate for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. This role involves direct service care to consumers as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

• Provide individual psychotherapy
• Facilitate group therapy sessions
• Coordinate clinical care
• Assess consumers and provide interventions
• Encourage and train consumers in activities of daily living
• Complete intake and discharge tasks
• Maintain household safety
• Document consumer interactions
• Complete clinical documentation
• Respond to emergencies
• Attend team meetings

Requirements:

• RC I: Actively enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in social work, psychology, human services, or related field.
• RC II: Bachelor's Degree in social work, psychology, human services, or related field.
• QMAP (Qualified Medication Administration Person)
• CPR & First Aid
• Physical required
• One year of mental health experience or in related field preferred.
• Must be 20 years of age to apply.
