Job Description

Schonfeld is seeking an experienced Trader to join their Hong Kong office. The Trader will possess Pan Asia market expertise and a passion for trading, collaborating with portfolio managers on market knowledge, performance, and trends. They will build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, communicating effectively and working well with others.

• Maintain best practice execution on all trades.
• Proactively collaborate with Portfolio Managers on market color, portfolio performance summaries and trading ideas.
• Understand day-to-day risk, regulatory, and compliance issues associated with all execution matters across Asia.
• Manage broker relationships and provide feedback to all execution counterparties.
• Manage communication and trading needs of US and European PMs with Japanese market.

• Experience in Pan Asia markets.
• Deep understanding of equities trading, within Japanese market.
• English language skill and other Asian language.
• Experience collaborating and supporting multiple Portfolio Managers.
• Knowledge around broker-sponsored algorithms, broker cash desks, dark pools and DMA facilities.
• Fluency with trading technology, execution management systems and order management systems.
• Commitment to the highest ethical and professional standards.
• Knowledge around the structure of the major Asian equity markets.
• Deep curiosity, attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

• Experience trading other Asian markets.
• Cross asset, multi-product experience.
• Trading Equity Options.
