Sr. Product Designer

Job Description

ZipRecruiter is seeking a Senior Product Designer to take ownership of key product areas and lead the design vision for major products and features. The Senior Product Designer will drive innovation and set high standards for user experience, collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams to align design objectives with business strategies.

This role involves:

• Taking full UX ownership of large-scale and complex product areas.
• Defining and executing the design strategy for large-scale projects.
• Partnering with stakeholders to advocate for design best practices and user needs.
• Mentoring and coaching junior designers.
• Collaborating with engineering leadership to integrate design seamlessly into the development process.
• Conducting and overseeing user research.
• Utilizing expertise in Figma and FigJam, and driving the evolution of design systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in product design.
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Expert proficiency in design tools such as Figma and FigJam.
• Experience defining and implementing design strategy at an organizational level.
• Exceptional ability to communicate design concepts and rationale effectively.
• Proven track record of leading high-impact design projects and initiatives.
• A comprehensive design portfolio showcasing your work– case studies preferred
