Accounts Payable Manager

Job Description

Scale AI is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic AP Manager to join its Accounting team. This role is crucial for day-to-day accounting operations in a fast-paced environment. The AP Manager will be responsible for managing the full Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and employee Travel and Expense (T&E) cycles, as well as supporting the month-end close process.Responsibilities include:

• Owning new vendor setup and ongoing vendor relationships.
• Processing vendor invoices with proper coding to GL accounts and departments.
• Managing the company PO process and working closely with spend owners.
• Overseeing employee reimbursements (T&E) and corporate credit cards.
• Preparing month-end corporate card journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assisting the Corporate Accounting team in understanding monthly GL account variances.
• Supporting system and process improvements to help drive efficiencies.
• Driving weekly Accounts Payable metrics review.
• Performing special ad-hoc projects as requested.

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years of AP and/or accounting experience.
• Direct experience in leading and managing Procure-to-pay cycle.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, or related degree.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities within deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and high level of attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google sheets.

• Experience with P2P software (Coupa).
• Experience with Corporate card system (Brex).
• Experience with Netsuite or other major ERP systems.
• Prior experience at a fast growing start-up or public company.
