Degreed is seeking a Senior Search Engineer to join their Search team. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and optimize scalable, high-performance search systems. This role involves ensuring accuracy, relevance, contextual awareness, and low-latency performance across different Degreed verticals. The Senior Search Engineer will play a significant role in shaping the search experience and driving continuous innovation.Role involves:

• Designing and building search systems.
• Optimizing search systems for performance.
• Leading the design and architecture of new search features.
• Analyzing search logs and user behavior data.
• Driving research and developing proof-of-concepts.

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience designing, building, and optimizing search systems.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Elasticsearch; 8+ years of overall engineering experience.
• Experience working with graph databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience with database technologies like PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
