Dev QA, Japanese Specialist

Job Description

Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Dev QA, Japanese Specialist to join their Emulation team. This contract role involves writing trophy sets in both Japanese and English for classic games originally released only in Japan. The specialist will need to fully understand and play through the games in Japanese to create accurate trophy sets, as no English translations will be available.Role involves:

• Writing trophy sets for Japanese-only titles in both Japanese and English.
• Performing Platinum runs to confirm trophies are properly implemented on all Japanese SKUs.
• Assisting with other Dev QA tasks, including confirmation testing and capturing screenshots/videos.

Requirements:

• Fluent in Japanese, both reading and writing.
• A passion for classic games and a deep understanding of them.
• A detail-oriented, persistent mindset.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work autonomously as part of a fully remote team.
