Job Description
Adyen is seeking a Team Lead for their Testing Enablement team in Amsterdam. Adyen is the financial technology platform of choice for leading companies like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft. This role focuses on championing developer experience through the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and tools for Payment Terminals Firmware. The Team Lead will drive innovation in testing practices, ensuring developers have the necessary tools for success.

Role involves:
  • Leading the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks (e2e), especially with Android-based payment terminals and mobile devices.
  • Driving the creation of new tooling for improved testing efficiency, coverage, and debugging capabilities.
  • Coordinating infrastructure changes and automation with internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with developers to optimize the automated testing process, focusing on DevEx.
  • Defining and communicating the team's vision and strategy, aligning with organizational goals.
  • Ensuring the team's frameworks are scalable and maintainable.

Requirements:
  • Experienced with Kotlin/Java (5+ years) and preferably Android testing tooling.
  • Proven experience leading and managing engineering teams (a focus on developer tooling and DevEx is a plus).
  • Passionate about testing, reliability, and automation, with a focus on improving developer workflows.
  • Passionate about developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks.
  • Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Gitlab, CI, Gradle).
  • Interested in using GenAI to solve practical issues related with testing/debugging.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate developer needs into effective technical solutions.
