Job Description

Eurowings Digital is seeking a Staff Engineer to play a key role in leveraging technology to meet business objectives. The Staff Engineer will develop solutions for adaptive and loosely coupled distributed systems, ensuring reliable and secure software delivery that delights customers and achieves business goals. • Acting as the technical lead and architect for an Agile squad.
• Collaborating with product owners to define product visions.
• Moderating between development teams and business stakeholders.
• Driving project delivery from inception to deployment.
• Leading the design, development, and integration of AI-driven features.
• Evaluating and applying emerging AI/ML technologies.
• Championing quality, security, scalability, and observability.
• Mentoring engineers and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Representing the engineering team in strategic initiatives.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience with software development.
• Experience with front-end and back-end development.
• Experience designing and implementing microservice architectures.
• Proficiency in Java, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Spring, JEE, Vue.js, Angular, REST, and event-driven systems.
• Hands-on experience with database systems (e.g., Elastic search, Cassandra, MSSQL, MySQL).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies.
• Experience implementing AI/ML features in production environments.
