Job Description
xAI is seeking a Datacenter Operations Technician to maintain the health of its server and network infrastructure in Data Centers and Global Points of Presence. The Datacenter Operations Technician will report to the job site during initial construction and report back to the engineering team as required. They will be responsible for troubleshooting, monitoring, racking, stacking, and cabling data center equipment. The technician will also manage inventory, respond to tickets, and maintain documentation.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing troubleshooting and monitoring of servers and networks.
- Racking and stacking network equipment.
- Maintaining warehouse inventory and asset management.
- Labeling and troubleshooting fiber/optic cables.
- Installing racks, servers, and switches.
- Managing and resolving data center operations tickets.
- Creating and maintaining documentation.
- Managing spare parts inventory.
- Defining, designing, and implementing network layouts.
Requirements include:
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
- 2+ years of experience with server, storage, compute, and network hardware.
- 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing servers and networking infrastructure.
- 2+ years of experience in Inventory Management.
