Job Description
Interactive Brokers is seeking a Data Protection Paralegal to join their London office. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day legal and data protection requirements of the business. This role requires a highly organised and proactive individual with strong administrative and teamworking skills.Responsibilities include:
  • Processing Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR)
  • Processing Erasure Requests
  • Assisting with investigatory work for customer enquiries and complaints
  • Drafting responses for enquiries from clients and staff
  • Maintaining internal data protection logs
  • Conducting obfuscation checks
  • Reviewing and proofreading legal documentation
  • Assisting with legal and data protection research
  • Assisting with completing and maintaining Data Protection Impact Assessments
  • Archiving and organising contracts and data protection documentation
  • Assisting with vendor management review process
  • Communicating with developers and stakeholders
  • Assisting with general office administrative tasks
Requirements:
  • A professional qualification or certification in data protection is desirable, such as IAPP’s CIPP E/M/T.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-growth business and maintain a high standard of attention to detail.
  • 1+ years of experience in a legal setting or data protection is desirable.
  • Basic understanding or interest in global data protection/privacy laws and regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Jira and Confluence is desirable.
  • Fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills.
