Job Description
Agile Space Industries is seeking a Test Operations Technician to join their team in Durango, CO. In this role, the technician will be responsible for the maintenance, assembly, and site support for engine testing. The technician's work will be critical to ensuring the safety and success of Agile Space Industries' missions.
Role Involves:
- Performing functions in daily test operations supporting engine testing.
- Building of new test stand facilities, and modifying and retrofitting existing test stands.
- Fabrication, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Propellant feed system panels and tubing.
- Helium and nitrogen systems including liquid nitrogen vaporization.
- Installation/uninstallation of engine hardware from test stand.
- Decontamination of hardware.
- Performing system level troubleshooting and maintenance of test stand equipment and hardware.
- Ensuring that all engine test stand related equipment and services are performed safe and timely manner to keep up with high test cadence.
- Proactively performing work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions.
- Maintaining accurate records of work performed.
- Following safety procedures and protocols when working with propellant systems and supporting utilities.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma and Associates degree required, however strong preference for technical degree
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in aerospace industry or with similar complex machinery and equipment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Able to self-direct work
- Computer skills such as MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Jira etc.
- Data processing experience is a plus
- Candidate must be a US Citizen or permanent resident.
- Experience with reading and interpretation of technical drawings/schematics
- Familiarity with test equipment and instrumentation
- Familiarity with pneumatics/gas systems
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information to colleagues and management
- Ability to work while wearing a respirator (SCBA) for extended periods of time
- Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends
