Senior Network Engineer

Peregrine Technologies, backed by leading Silicon Valley investors, seeks a Senior Network Engineer to join its Infrastructure team. The company supports public safety agencies across the country, empowering public servants with technology to improve operations and decision-making.

The Senior Network Engineer will drive networking strategy and set the foundation of networking technology. The team builds and operates software to connect with customers and develops software-defined networking solutions.

Role Involves:

• Being the customer’s first point of contact to establish network connectivity
• Monitoring network services to ensure they are performant and reliable
• Partnering with customers to ensure healthy IPSec / VPN services from our platform to the customer’s on-premise systems
• Partnering with Deployment Strategists and customers during the data ingestion process
• Developing and maintaining documentation to foster shared knowledge, including topology diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures
• Participating in on-call duties as needed

Requirements:

• 5+ years of Network Engineering experience working with customers
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Familiarity with AWS or cloud-native network architectures like GCP and Azure
• Understanding of core network protocols
• Experience implementing, supporting and troubleshooting IPSec / VPN services
• Basic understanding of Kubernetes architecture
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies
• Experience using packet capture tools to resolve network issues
• Experience using Open Source and third party tools to troubleshoot networks
• Located in New York and open to working in office

Role Offers:

• Salary Range: $130,000 - $215,000 Annually
