Job Description
Peregrine Technologies is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join their Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will drive networking strategy and build networking technology. This role involves working with the infrastructure team to develop software-defined networking solutions and connect to customers. Role Involves:
- Being the customer’s first point of contact to establish network connectivity
- Monitoring network services to ensure they are performant and reliable
- Partnering with customers to ensure healthy IPSec / VPN services
- Partnering with Deployment Strategists and customers during data ingestion
- Developing and maintaining documentation
- Participating in on-call duties as needed
Requirements:
- 5+ years of Network Engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with AWS or cloud-native network architectures
- Understanding of core network protocols
- Experience implementing, supporting, and troubleshooting IPSec / VPN services
- Basic understanding of Kubernetes architecture
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies
- Experience using packet capture tools
- Experience using Open Source and third party tools to troubleshoot networks
- Located in Washington, D.C. and open to working in office
