Senior Technical Program Manager

Job Description

Affirm is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to manage high-visibility programs and improve processes for building customer and merchant products. The company is scaling its program management practices to meet the increasing complexity of its products. The ideal candidate will help Product and Engineering teams develop frameworks for building quality software and evaluate new technology developments.

What this role involves:
• Driving complex, multi-disciplinary technical programs.
• Coordinating across engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
• Planning requirements and identifying risks.
• Managing program schedules.
• Communicating with cross-functional partners.
• Understanding technical implementation and proposing alternatives.
• Tracking progress and resolving dependencies.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of experience managing technical programs.
• Passion for changing consumer finance.
• Organized and strategic approach to collaboration.
• Experience with large technology applications and distributed backend systems.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• FinTech, Payments, or Commerce experience is a plus.
