Floor Manager - Carugate Milano C.C. "Carosello"

Job Description

JD Sports Fashion, a leading multi-channel retailer of sports and outdoor fashion in the UK and Europe, is seeking a Floor Manager for their store in Carugate, Milan. The Floor Manager will report directly to the Store Manager and will support the Store Manager and act as a key point of contact with the sales staff.

Responsibilities:

• Opening and closing the store, including merchandise arrangement and briefings.
• Managing the sales department and ensuring cohesion among all areas and employees.
• Monitoring profitability through KPIs such as Gain, Profit, ATV, UPT, ASP, and Conversion Rate.
• Coordinating and motivating the sales team, delegating tasks, and communicating objectives and results.
• Participating in sales activities and ensuring excellent customer service.
• Handling customer complaints efficiently and courteously.
• Supporting the Store Manager in recruitment and ensuring initial training and integration of new team members.
• Performing administrative tasks related to hiring, such as collecting documents and archiving contracts.
• Identifying employee potential and promoting their growth through feedback and training tools.
• Organizing employee schedules based on activity fluctuations and sales peaks.
• Monitoring employee conduct and reporting any non-compliant behavior.
• Ensuring the general safety of goods and people in the store.
• Ensuring the good general presentation of the store, respecting company standards.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the sales area and warehouse.
• Managing merchandise and personnel entering and exiting the store.
• Participating in loss prevention and control.
• Managing the cash register and supervising collections, returns, and refunds.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in managing structured retail outlets, preferably in dynamic and multinational contexts.
• Good knowledge of the English language.
• Leadership and good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of the Office package (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
