AI Machine Learning Engineer - Query Understanding

Perplexity is looking for an experienced AI & ML Engineer to enhance their query understanding systems. The ideal candidate will focus on deeply and accurately understanding user intent, which is crucial for providing relevant and high-quality responses. This role involves architecting and developing machine learning models for query understanding, leveraging LLMs, and delivering end-to-end ML solutions.

• Architect and develop core machine learning models for query understanding.
• Leverage and fine-tune LLMs to capture nuanced user intent.
• Deliver end-to-end ML solutions and own the full stack to optimize query understanding.
• Partner with Product manager and collaborate with other engineers.

Requirements:

• Strong programming skills.
• Experience in training DNN and Transformer architecture models.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to take ownership of tasks.
• A passion for shipping quality products.
• 4+ years of industry experience in related fields.
