Sr. Frontend Software Engineer - Alternatives

Job Description

Addepar is seeking a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to join their team in Pune, India. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for building solutions to support clients' alternative investment strategies, using AI and machine learning to automate and streamline data ingestion and analysis. The Senior Frontend Software Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and product managers, to deliver and grow this product.

The role involves:

• Envisioning, prototyping, and delivering an engaging AI and ML enabled suite of applications.
• Building responsive UIs for PDF annotations, tagging, and navigation.
• Contributing to the Alternatives Operations application suite using JavaScript, Python, and Retool.
• Implementing and maintaining engineering solutions through well-designed, testable code.
• Leading individual project priorities, achievements, and software releases.
• Learning from Operations team members to improve the application suite.
• Collaborating with product managers and client teams on product requirements.
• Documenting software functionality, system design, and project plans.
• Promoting engineering standard methodologies and principles.
• Learning the domain of Alternative Investments and its fit within Addepar's financial model.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a professional software engineer.
• Experience with frontend technologies, JavaScript / CSS / Python.
• Experience building scalable systems, modeling financial data, or developing intuitive user interfaces.
• Ability to engage with collaborators on a technical level.
• A strong ownership mentality.
• A passion for implementing methodologies and automation.
• Proven track record of collaborating with and mentoring other engineers.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of terraform or similar infrastructure as code framework a plus
• Experience in AWS a plus
