Moniepoint is seeking a Head of Internal Controls to align the Internal Audit strategy with the company's business objectives. The Vice President, Internal Controls, will act as an early warning system for business and financial risks, and supporting business ethics and integrity initiatives. This role requires an organized and methodical individual with strong audit and risk assessment experience.

The role involves:
  • Developing and leading Moniepoint’s internal controls strategy.
  • Collaborating with executive leadership.
  • Serving as a key advisor to senior management.
  • Establishing and improving internal control policies.
  • Conducting periodic risk assessments.
  • Overseeing the development of internal audit plans.
  • Monitoring compliance with internal policies.
  • Presenting internal control findings.
  • Building and leading a high-performing internal controls team.
  • Partnering with operational, finance, compliance, and IT teams.
  • Providing guidance and training to employees.
  • Leveraging technology and data analytics.

Requirements include:
  • A master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in internal controls, auditing, or risk management within the financial services industry.
  • Strong expertise in regulatory frameworks, such as SOX compliance, COSO principles, and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Proven experience working in complex, global organizations across diverse industries.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in internal control tools, ERP systems, and data analytics platforms.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and conflict-resolution skills.
