Job Description
West Cancer Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join their palliative care team. This role involves delivering high-quality care to patients within a specialized oncology setting, working in collaboration with physician sponsors. The APP will function both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to support continuity of care and improve patient outcomes. No nights, weekends, or holidays are required.
Responsibilities include: - Assessing and examining patients, gathering medical histories
- Ordering and interpreting labs and radiological studies
- Developing treatment plans and prescribing medications
- Providing patient education and counseling
- Coordinating continuity of care and referrals
- Providing clinical oversight for patients receiving treatments in infusion
Requirements: - Current advanced practice licensure/certification in Tennessee
- If NP, must also hold RN license for Tennessee
- Certificate to prescribe and current DEA required
- BCLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Experience with oncology or palliative care preferred
- Strong organizational, follow-up, and communication skills
