Job Description
The National Football League (NFL) is seeking a Vice President of Collectively Bargained Player Benefits and Retired Player Programs. This role is responsible for overseeing and administering active and retired player benefits as outlined in the NFL-NFLPA Collective Bargaining Agreement and the NFL Player Care Foundation.
Role involves:
- Leading the team responsible for negotiation and administration of player benefits.
- Supporting and counseling the NFL-appointed trustees to the board governing the NFL-NFLPA Disability and Retirement Plans.
- Managing the relationship with the NFL Players Association benefits team.
- Managing litigation filed against the Plan, NFL Trustees and/or league.
- Supervising outside consultants, including law firms, investment advisors and benefits consultants.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited college or university.
- Experience working with a union workforce.
- Collective bargaining experience.
- Strong management and communication skills.
- Commitment to staying current with employer benefit plans in the industry.
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills.
