Job Description
Rimes is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its legal team in London. The role involves working closely with sales, product, technology, information security, and finance teams globally. This position offers the opportunity to develop new skills in a collaborative environment.
Role Involves:
- Supporting global sales and client account management on contract negotiations and renewals.
- Drafting, negotiating, and advising on client-facing commercial agreements.
- Managing compliance with the Contracts Policy and corporate governance framework.
- Supporting the data team on license negotiations with data partners.
- Negotiating supplier contracts (largely technology and software).
- Supporting the Compliance Officer on company secretarial issues.
- Providing advice on intellectual property, data privacy, and regulatory compliance.
- Managing the outsourcing of matters to external law firms.
Requirements:
- English qualified solicitor (or right to practice in England); consideration for NY bar admission.
- 2 – 5 years PQE plus (approximate guide).
- Exposure to the financial services or technology sectors.
- Understanding of corporate matters or cross-border matters.
- Ability to communicate legal issues in a business-friendly way.
- Organized, commercially minded, and able to think creatively.
- In-house experience preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of Salesforce, Agiloft, or Confluence is an advantage.
