DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Rimes, a provider of enterprise data management solutions, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join its global Technology team in Nicosia, Cyprus. The DevOps Team is central to Core Engineering, ensuring Rimes' technology is innovative, reliable, performant, scalable, and secure. The role involves delivering a world-class customer experience for both external and internal users.Responsibilities include:

• Working with development and infrastructure to create reliable, repeatable pipeline processes
• Owning CI builds and continuously improving deployment pipelines
• Participating in the delivery of existing infrastructure
• Participating in the design and delivery of Rimes’ technical transformation
• Using an agile approach to DevOps workloads with continual improvement

Core requirements include:

• Demonstrable experience delivering DevOps practices into Azure
• Expertise with DevOps tooling e.g. Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and GitHub
• Automated testing and integration within CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of VMWare virtualisation, Windows Server, Linux and Microsoft SQL Server
• Good communication skills especially the ability to communicate across teams and participate in incident management
• Competent problem solver capable of showing initiative

Nice to have:

• Software Development/programming background
• Experience with DataBricks
• Awareness or use of principles like: Code reuse, DRY, KISS, YAGNI.
