Job Description
Convera is looking for a Senior Treasury Trader Analyst to join their London team. This role is crucial for managing the company's currency positions, which arise from its money transfer and business payments products. The primary responsibility involves managing Convera’s foreign exchange (FX) risk by hedging client trade activity with bank counterparties, aligning with prescribed interest rate and currency risk limits. The role includes quoting FX prices across multiple products and structuring option contracts to support the Business Solutions sales team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage FX exposure and execute trades across spot, forward, swap, and option markets
- Support the structuring and pricing of option contracts for internal stakeholders
- Monitor market conditions and economic indicators to assess potential currency impacts
- Enter and maintain trade data within the Treasury Risk Management System
- Support reporting, reconciliation, and operational activities related to treasury and risk
- Identify and implement process improvements, including data automation and reporting enhancements
Requirements:
- Ability to remain composed under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to evaluate and address complex financial risk scenarios
- A solid understanding of financial markets and economic indicators
- Strong financial modelling and Excel skills
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Interest or experience in working with data sets, automation, or entry-level coding
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- A willingness to work variable hours as required
- Bachelor's degree in economics, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Finance, Treasury Risk Management, or Data Analytics
- Progress toward or completion of an advanced financial qualification (e.g. CFA, MBA) is a plus
