Job Description

Zepz Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Java to join their FinCrime team in South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the screening platform for people and transactions, handling alerts, and integrating with vendors. Role involves:

• Managing the screening platform for people and transactions.
• Handling alerts.
• Integrating with vendors.
• Holding and releasing transactions.
• Managing customer care investigations through an RFI task system.
• Developing crypto-related screening for transactions and wallets.
• Maintaining graphQL and Restful microservices.
• Automating regulatory reporting.

Requirements:

• Expertise in designing and architecting complex, distributed systems at scale.
• Ability to analyze and optimize system performance.
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience in designing and implementing comprehensive monitoring dashboards.
• Ability to mentor and guide engineering teams.
• Comfortable building effective relationships with stakeholders outside of technology.
