Job Description
Twilio is seeking a Technical Revenue Accounting Manager to ensure revenue recognition is ASC 606-compliant and scalable. This role involves technical accounting assessments, cross-functional collaboration, and process building in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will thrive on solving technical issues, excel in collaboration, and enjoy building scalable processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Research and prepare technical accounting assessments of complex customer contracts.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, and FP&A on contract reviews.
  • Lead alignment with operational accounting in the use of revenue tools.
  • Support the monthly revenue close process.
  • Own SOX controls, audit deliverables, and SEC reporting.
  • Maintain the process for determining and updating Stand-Alone Selling Pricing (SSPs).
  • Help maintain revenue accounting policies.
  • Collaborate with systems and business partners to design and enhance revenue automation tools.
  • Lead revenue accounting for new product launches and GTM initiatives.
  • Support special projects and company-wide initiatives.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in technical accounting.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of ASC 606 and US GAAP.
  • Proficiency designing internal controls.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A diligent self-starter with a proven ability to take initiative.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
