Job Description
Overjet is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead a team in developing AI-driven Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) products. This role involves driving product initiatives, transforming dental practice revenue operations, and modernizing collaboration between providers and payers. The Director will shape the future of dental care by working on innovative AI technology and developing a world-class engineering team.
Role Involves:
- Building and scaling high-performing engineering teams across global locations.
- Leading the development of future AI-powered RCM products.
- Driving alignment between engineering, product, and architecture teams.
- Defining and implementing engineering best practices and technical standards.
- Leading organizational planning and engineering operations.
- Contributing to the codebase and participating in architectural reviews.
- Fostering a collaborative, agile engineering culture.
- Communicating effectively with senior leadership.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- 5+ years of management experience.
- Experience building and scaling engineering organizations of 15+ people.
- Proven track record of successful mentorship.
- Experience building 0-1 products and scaling mature platforms.
- Experience implementing engineering processes that balance quality, innovation, and delivery velocity.
- Experience leading cross-team engineering efforts.
- Hands-on experience in full-stack development.
- Strong knowledge of SaaS architecture and cloud infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Java, Python, JavaScript, Docker, Kubernetes, RESTful APIs, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
