Capital Collection Specialist

Job Description

Lightspeed is seeking a Capital Collections Specialist to join their Capital and Payments team. This customer-facing role involves contacting merchants with overdue account balances related to the capital advance product and arranging suitable repayment plans. The ideal candidate will demonstrate compassion and empathy while understanding customer situations and offering solutions.

Role involves:

• Performing outbound calls to collect on overdue capital advance accounts.
• Negotiating appropriate repayment plans with customers.
• Managing customer overdue accounts and collection activities.
• Ensuring exceptional execution in the collection of financial loans.
• Documenting collections activities and processes.
• Professionally negotiating with consumers and exploring money sources.
• Issuing dunning letters and referring accounts to collection agencies when necessary.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in collections or a target-driven call center environment.
• Experience in collections for a financial institution.
• Strong communication skills in English.
