Senior Product Designer, U-Series

Job Description

Lightspeed is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join its U-Series Hospitality product team. In this role, the Senior Product Designer will collaborate to deliver UX experiences that businesses will find useful and engaging. The ideal candidate will be an experienced UX Designer comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with complex, interconnected problems. He/She will set UX goals, direction, and strategy that empowers the team with clarity and purpose. He/She will build trust-based relationships across disciplines and leverage diverse perspectives to deeply understand and improve how the team ships impactful work.

Role Involves:

• Leading high-level project work from a design perspective.
• Leveraging UX expertise and understanding of design systems and UI design.
• Turning nebulous concepts into specific ideas for end-to-end digital product experiences.
• Designing holistic systems, flows, and interfaces that are simple and user-friendly.
• Drawing insights from research and data to create tangible solutions.
• Building relationships and advocating for the user when collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Overseeing the UX from conception to launch.
• Being a positive role model and culture carrier within the design team.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of practical, in-house product, UX/UI design experience.
• Applied experience with service design practices.
• Strong aesthetic and conceptual skills.
• Excellent communication and visualization skills.
• Fluency in the use of design systems, prototyping, and user research methodologies.
• A passion for sharing design strategies.
• An acute level of self-awareness and deep empathy.
• A deep curiosity and ability to consider product strategy and vision.
• Fluency with product, design, and prototyping tools such as Figma, Google Suite, JIRA.
• English language fluency in written and spoken communication.
