Senior Product Designer, U-Series

Job Description

Lightspeed is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join its U-Series Hospitality product team. The ideal candidate will be an experienced UX Designer comfortable in a fast-paced environment, setting UX strategy and fostering trust-based relationships. He/She will be responsible for leading high-level project work, leveraging UX expertise, turning concepts into digital product experiences, designing holistic systems, and advocating for the user.Responsibilities:

• Lead high-level project work from a design perspective.
• Leverage UX expertise and understanding of design systems.
• Turn nebulous concepts into specific ideas.
• Design holistic systems, flows and interfaces.
• Understand how to best use the current design system.
• Draw insights from research and data.
• Build relationships and advocate for the user.
• Oversee the UX from conception to launch.
• Be a positive role model and culture carrier.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of practical, in-house product, UX/UI design experience.
• Applied experience with service design practices.
• Strong aesthetic and conceptual skills.
• Excellent communication and visualization skills.
• Fluency in use of design systems, prototyping, and user research methodologies.
• A passion for sharing design strategies.
• An acute level of self-awareness and deep empathy.
• A deep curiosity and ability to consider product strategy and vision.
• Fluency with product, design, and prototyping tools such as Figma, Google Suite, JIRA.
• English language fluency in written and spoken communication.
