Job Description

Lightspeed is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer (iOS) to join their Auckland-based team. The candidate will collaborate on developing cutting-edge products using the latest native iOS technologies. The mobility team focuses on crafting inventory and reporting mobile solutions, leveraging handheld devices to address real-world challenges within physical spaces.

The role involves coding, code reviews, bug fixing, pair programming, incident response, and reverse-engineering tasks. The engineer will also participate in planning and architecture, collaborating with Product and proposing technical roadmaps. Lightspeed is committed to taking best-in-class approaches to mobile engineering, with apps built on TCA and SwiftUI.

What this role involves:

  • Building and maintaining iOS applications.
  • Collaborating with product and other engineering teams.
  • Contributing to technical roadmaps.
  • Learning and teaching best practices in mobile engineering.

Requirements:

  • Strong mobile development experience, primarily on iOS.
  • Experience building and distributing apps with large user bases.
  • Proficiency in Swift and Objective-C.
  • Deep understanding of iOS UI, ideally with SwiftUI or UIKit.
  • Experience or interest in working with TCA.
  • Understanding of mobile application design principles.
