Job Description

Workleap is seeking a Software Development Manager to join their Shared Services team. This role will be central to the evolution of the Workleap platform, creating solutions that span both the Workleap platform and ShareGate by Workleap products. The manager will lead a high-performing development team focused on building and maintaining critical platform services, starting with Billing & Subscriptions, and potentially expanding to other fundamental services like authentication, user profiles, or notifications.This role combines strong technical leadership with strategic execution. The manager will collaborate closely with stakeholders from Product, Finance, and Engineering teams to modernize the company's monetization infrastructure, activate reusable platform capabilities, and enable Workleap teams to innovate efficiently.Responsibilities:

• Ensure the design, development, reliability, and performance of key shared services.
• Elevate technical standards and make important architectural decisions.
• Guide the team in complex modernization initiatives.
• Instill a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
• Work with Product, Finance, and Security teams to align roadmaps and manage risks.
• Act as a strategic voice within the Shared Services leadership team.
• Mentor and grow developers through feedback and career development plans.
• Promote innersource contribution models.
• Prioritize the backlog with clarity and impact.
• Track team capacity and performance indicators.

Requirements:

• Experience managing software development teams.
• Solid technical background.
• History of successful delivery of complex infrastructure or monetization systems in SaaS contexts.
• Skills in mentoring, performance management, and creating a team culture based on trust and constructive feedback.
• Aisance in navigating ambiguity and making decisions with confidence.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience in managing technical debt and implementing DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of Agile, Lean, and continuous delivery methodologies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience as a software developer is highly desirable.
