Job Description
Human Rights Watch is seeking a Coordinator for its Legal and Policy Office. This non-attorney position supports the office's work in ensuring HRW's publications and advocacy align with international human rights law and HRW policies. The Coordinator will work under the Legal and Policy Director and collaborate with Senior Legal Advisors.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinating the flow of documents for legal review.
- Maintaining information on upcoming reports.
- Serving as a liaison between staff and legal reviewers.
- Training incoming support staff.
- Serving as the point-person for communications with the HRW policy committee.
- Scheduling meetings and taking minutes.
- Processing departmental finances.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience.
- Ability to multi-task effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- US work authorization.
