Job Description
Adyen is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to join their team in Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil. Adyen is the payments platform of choice for the world’s leading companies, delivering frictionless payments across online, mobile and in-store channels. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience with Java development and a strong understanding of design patterns, testing, and debugging. This role is based in the office three days a week with the flexibility to work remotely twice a week.
Role involves:
- Building the global payments engine of the future.
- Taking ownership of systems, features, or frameworks.
- Collaborating effectively with your team and across teams.
- Designing and implementing elegant, scalable solutions.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting systems in production.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience with Java development.
- Strong expertise in Java and related technologies.
- Solid grasp of design patterns, testing, and debugging.
- Understanding of customer needs and business goals.
- Ability to articulate ideas clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
