Specialist, Risk Ops (Payment Risk)

Job Description

OKX is seeking a Specialist in Risk Operations, focusing on Payment Risk, to join their team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This role involves conducting comprehensive investigations using various tools to identify and address fraudulent activities. The Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality of all information collected during investigations and for reviewing customer transactions to detect fraud such as account takeovers and identity theft.

The role involves contacting customers to validate transactions, resolving customer issues within service level agreements, and investigating chargebacks and fraud claims. The Specialist will also analyze trading patterns, report suspicious accounts, and develop partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance investigative processes.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive investigations using various tools.
• Reviewing customer transactions to identify fraudulent activities.
• Contacting customers to validate transactions and account information.
• Investigating chargebacks and fraud claims.
• Analyzing trading and behavioral patterns to detect fraud.
• Developing partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Preparing comprehensive investigation reports.
• Recommending anti-fraud processes.
• Generating suspicious activity reports and risk management reports.

Requirements:

• Minimum Degree in accounting, finance, business administration, criminology, or other disciplines.
• 2 - 4 years of relevant fraud investigation experience.
• Fraud detection/risk management experience in the banking, financial and/or fintech sector.
• Strong ability to find fraud patterns and trends.
• Experience with different payment methods and platforms.
• Ability to learn new technology tools quickly.
• Willingness to work according to a given shift schedule to support 24x7 operations.
• Good communication skills in both verbal and written for English and Chinese (Mandarin).
