Engineering Manager (New Channel Expansion)

Job Description

Smartly is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead one of its product engineering teams. This role is within the Media Engineering group, focusing on building tools that help customers reach their audiences across platforms, automate manual workflows, and unify campaign management. The Engineering Manager will be involved in a new, strategic initiative aimed at expanding Smartly's product offering.Responsibilities:

• Build and lead an autonomous Fullstack development team.
• Enable the team and care about team members' growth and development.
• Tackle ambitious technical problems and contribute to the Engineering culture.

Requirements:

• Experienced people leader with proven ability in building and leading high-performing teams.
• Experience throughout the full software life-cycle in an environment with multiple teams.
• Experience building and maintaining large-scale, high-availability web applications.
• Experience in agile development practices.
• Ability to deliver constructive feedback.
• Empathy and user-focused mentality.
• Skilled developer capable of coaching team members.
• Ability to work from the Helsinki office three days a week.
