Job Description
Banyan Software is seeking a Portfolio Finance Manager for their UK and Europe region. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing software consolidator. The Finance Manager will report to Banyan’s VP Finance in London and will be responsible for leading the finance function for a portfolio of companies, including accounting, treasury, FP&A, reporting, and finance systems. They will also assist in the integration of new acquisitions and partner with senior operators to drive insights and shareholder value.Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Finance function for a portfolio of companies.
  • Contribute to day-to-day accounting work.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, board reporting, budgets, and KPIs.
  • Perform quality assurance on finance and accounting work product.
  • Contribute to the performance of operating companies through analysis.
  • Lead the operational/financial integration of acquisitions.
  • Lead finance process improvement projects.
  • Document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Handle other ad-hoc tasks.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a finance/accounting role.
  • Recognised professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, FCA, FCCA).
  • Experience with U.S. GAAP and software is an asset.
  • Fluency in English, with business level fluency in another European language.
  • Self-starter who is happy to work in a hybrid environment.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, implement change, and drive process improvement.
  • Ability to delegate and coordinate tasks with an offshore team.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience integrating acquisitions or designing financial processes is an asset.
  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly motivated and energetic with interest in entrepreneurship, software, and finance.
