Engineering Intern

Job Description

Snyk is seeking an Engineering Intern to join their team in London. This internship offers hands-on experience in the field of study, working as part of the team to dominate the Developer Security world and bring value to customers. The intern will have the opportunity to meet colleagues from different backgrounds and geological areas, gain valuable professional development, and have some fun along the way.

The Engineering Intern will be involved in building seamless product experiences in a fast-paced R&D environment, helping developers work faster and more securely. The intern will use their development skills, passion, and problem-solving abilities to create software that ensures the security of other software products.

What this role involves:

• Collaborating with engineers to understand project guidelines and contribute to the development process
• Using best practices and new technologies to maintain and extend existing services
• Working across the full stack and entire development life cycle to build, test, deploy, and support high-quality, reliable, fast services
• Promoting code quality through reviews and best practices
• Working directly with products used by developers globally
• Networking within Snyk, joining Impact events, building soft skills and professional development

Requirements:

• Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to change
• Familiarity with programming languages such as TypeScript and Go
• Proactive attitude and accountability along with an appreciation for independence
