Solutions Engineer, Tokyo at Notion

Notion is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join their team in Tokyo. This role is pivotal in helping customers integrate Notion into their existing tech stack and deploy it for various business goals. The Solutions Engineer will partner with the sales organization, providing technical guidance and showcasing custom solutions to prospective and existing customers. Notion is an in person company, and currently requires its employees to come to the office for two Anchor Days (Mondays & Thursdays) and requests that employees spend the majority of their week in the office (including a third day).

The role involves:
• Responding to product and technical questions, RFPs, and security questionnaires.
• Providing technical guidance to customers throughout the sales process.
• Showcasing custom solutions with Notion based on understanding of customer workflows and integrated applications.
• Curating product feedback for the Product and Engineering teams.
• Refining the technical narrative for the product through marketing collateral.
• Educating the sales organization on product updates and competitive analysis.
• Documenting technical considerations for internal knowledge bases.

Requirements:
• 5+ years of relevant experience as a Technical Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Solutions Architect.
• Understanding of APIs and their use in customer workflows.
• Experience with third-party integrations for IAM/SSO, DLP, or SIEM platforms.
• Strong project management experience.
• Growth mindset and adaptability.
• Native level Japanese and business level English both in writing and speaking.
