Job Description
Prezzee is seeking a Head of Data to spearhead the evolution of its data function, positioning data as a pivotal driver of business strategy, innovation, and customer value. Reporting to the Chief Data and Innovation Officer, this role is central to shaping how data is embedded across the business, from operational decision-making to product development and customer insights. The Head of Data will be responsible for building a high-performing team, developing forward-looking capabilities, and ensuring data is accessible, trusted, and used effectively at all levels of the organisation.

Role involves:
  • Developing and executing a data strategy aligned with business priorities.
  • Building and leading a cross-functional data team.
  • Shaping a data-first mindset across the business.
  • Driving governance and DataOps practices.
  • Partnering with senior leaders to translate insights into clear direction.
  • Leading the evolution of data infrastructure and platforms, including migration to Databricks.
  • Driving innovation through advanced capabilities like predictive analytics and machine learning.
  • Representing the Data function at the executive level.

Requirements:
  • Proven leadership experience in scaling data functions.
  • Deep expertise in data engineering, governance, data platforms, and architecture.
  • Strong understanding of analytics, data science, and machine learning.
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies and modern data tools (e.g., Databricks, Looker, Redshift).
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Strategic thinker with commercial focus.
