Job Description
Elastic is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead its distributed Engineering Productivity team. This team is responsible for key developer productivity and CI/CD/Release functions, facilitated by Elastic's internal developer platform. The role involves managing a team of 11 engineers, driving priorities, and improving team productivity.
Role involves:
- Building a roadmap and driving priorities for the team.
- Managing and mentoring a globally distributed team of 11 engineers.
- Advocating for the team within the organization.
- Participating in Major Incidents on-call rotation.
- Implementing processes to improve team productivity and software quality.
Requirements:
- Experience leading diverse teams of software engineers.
- Experience leading complex engineering projects across teams.
- Experience as a hands-on software engineer with strong computer science fundamentals.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
