Job Description
The ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) is seeking a Regional Campaign Strategist to join their National Political Advocacy Department. This role involves contributing to campaign planning, developing campaign goals and tactics, and fostering strong affiliate relationships. The position can be hybrid-based in Washington, D.C., or remote-based in one of the states within Region 1 (Northwest): AK, ID, MN, MT, OR, SD, ND, HI, WA, WI, and WY.Responsibilities:
  • Partnering with Regional Lead-level staff to help develop and manage campaign budgets.
  • Utilizing campaign tactics and tools, including constituent/voter targeting and advertisement development.
  • Working closely with the Organizing Division to execute campaign plans.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders and staff to develop strategic partnerships.
  • Facilitating in-person meetings and campaign events.
  • Providing subject matter expertise to colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Experience with issue advocacy and/or electoral campaigning.
  • Experience designing and executing campaign plans and tactics.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity building and leading coalitions.
  • Skilled at prioritizing tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Fluency and expertise in at least one ACLU issue area.
  • Comfort with policy objectives.
  • Willingness to travel.
